- 1 loaf ciabatta bread (see below for link to recipe)
- ½ cup salted butter, softened (1 stick)
- 2 large cloves garlic, minced
- 1 heaping teaspoon dried parsley
- ¼ teaspoon salt (more or less to taste)
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cut ciabatta bread or French bread in half horizontally to create 2 flat bread boats. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, garlic, parsley and salt. Spread over bread halves.
Place on baking sheet. Heat at 350°F for 10 minutes until warm.
Slice with a serrated knife and serve immediately.
- My favorite bread for garlic bread is this ciabatta bread, which can be made the same day or the day before.
- If baking bread from scratch, allow to cool at least 30 minutes before cutting.
- Don't have time to bake bread from scratch? Substitute with any large loaf of French or Italian bread from the store.
- Soften the butter by leaving it out at room temperature 30-60 minutes before mixing.
- Garlic-butter mixture can be prepared hours before baking.
- Reheat in the microwave (for softer bread) or in a 350°F oven (for crispier bread) until warm.
